All tenants and people living with them will need to pass reference and affordability checks and we will require a guarantor if their circumstances indicate that by renting their home they might possibly be put under financial pressure in future.

What is the process of renting a property with help from Plus Let?

  • First, let us know that you like one of our properties.
  • We will arrange a viewing of the property. The viewing will be presented by one of our friendly professional lettings managers or the landlord themselves.
  • Providing you like the property we will arrange for you to pay a small holding deposit (this deposit is non-refundable if you change your mind after agreeing terms and is usually around £300).
  • Each of our tenants is reference checked. Don't worry, a simple form to fill in will take care of this part - we will send you a link to the form by email.
  • Once all referencing is in place, we require between 5 weeks a security deposit which will be registered and forwarded to the relevant deposit scheme - we or the landlord have usually no access to your deposit money at any time during the tenancy.
  • A tenancy agreement is drawn up for you and the landlord to read and sign.
  • On the move-in date or so, a professinal check-in report will be prepared to protect your deposit
  • A tenant pack for the property will be handed to you (if available for your property)
  • We will help you setup your gas, electricity, phone and broadband and find you a good deal. We will also help you setup your services like council tax and water supply
  • For most properties, we manage your property and you call us with any issues.
